Hyloxs — handmade badge reels, keepsake keychains and garden signs, crafted by a nurse. Personalise yours in about a minute.
Crafting clear skies for tomorrow’s blooms.
Crafted with care. Blooming with hope.
From a nurse’s eyes
I trained as a nurse and spent years in humanitarian aid across several countries. In clinics and camps I met the women behind the world’s cheapest goods — mothers who left their children to work in polluting factories because the family needed bread on the table that week.
What I could not unsee
They were trading their health for wages too small to matter, and when they fell ill there was no money for care. The cycle was brutal and quiet. I could not stop it for everyone — they still needed to feed their children. But I could not do nothing.
Why Hyloxs exists
So I built Hyloxs. We partner with women in under-resourced communities and pay them to handcraft our badge reels, keychains and garden signs from their own homes. We send the raw materials to them; they do the work where they already are — and when a child needs them, they are right there.
Work that does not cost health
Home-based craft means a mother can earn and still tuck her child in, cook a meal and be present. It means her hands build something beautiful instead of being worn down by a factory floor. She is paid for her skill, not for her silence.
A small clearing
I will never be able to help everyone, and I have made peace with that. But if we can ease even a sliver of someone’s hard luck — a mother who no longer has to choose between her child and her paycheck — then this work is worth doing. If I am able, I will keep going.
Crafting clear skies for tomorrow’s blooms — one handmade piece at a time.
